2025 Season Accomplishment
Oluwatosin Awoleye of South Cobb High School left no doubt and dominated the 800m with her fierce fast pace running style for three years. A three-time 800m GSHA 6A state champion with a state record and a two-time All-Metro honoree. The senior set the 800m time of 2:03.65 at the GHSA 6A Track & Field Sectional Championships; the fastest time ever ran on Georgia soil. She etched her name into Georgia history book and also, she is the number one female 800m athlete; first to achieve such a remarkable feat. Meanwhile, she has established herself among the All-time greats in Georgia. Nationally, she ends the season ranked seventh in the 800m. Awoleye reset the standard for middle distance running in Georgia and She will continue her athletic career at the University of Southern California this fall.

Oluwatoyin Awoleye of Garett Middle School captured the Georgia Middle School Track & Field Championships Girls 13-14 400m title in 55.36. Later in the summer, at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships Girls 13-14 400m semi-final she clocked 54.75 a new personal best and in the final she placed third in 55.45. In the 200m, she clocked 25.41 and finished 7th place. She is ranked No. 2 in Georgia and No. 7 nationally. Awoleye concludes her middle school career as one of Georgia’s top sprinters. Awoleye represents the very best of what middle school track in Georgia has to offer. This fall, Awoleye will be attending Lithia Spring Comprehension High School to continue her athletic prowess.
